Learn to speak up with confidence, handle difficult conversations, and stop carrying the things you never said.
You don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or make things worse, so you stay quiet. But later, you're replaying the conversation, thinking about what you should have said, and feeling resentful that it happened in the first place.
Maybe you've started avoiding the person altogether. Or you've told yourself you've moved on, but you're still thinking about what happened.
Speaking up doesn't have to mean being mean or disrespectful. You can learn to say what needs to be said with confidence and kindness.

Therapy can help you understand why speaking up feels so difficult and give you practical tools to start doing something different.
Learn to say what you need to say without feeling like you have to become mean, disrespectful, or someone you're not.
Learn to lead with curiosity, ask questions, and separate what you actually know from what you may be assuming.
Learn to recognize what's yours to work on and what's "not your stuff"—so you don't have to carry responsibility for everyone else's reactions.
I'm Chelsa Watkins Jordan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and practice owner. I believe therapy should help you do more than understand why you feel the way you do. At some point, that understanding should help you practice something different.
My approach is kind, practical, and direct. I'll give you room to be honest about what you're feeling while also helping you look at what's yours to work on. We'll talk about the patterns that got you here, but we'll also work on what you can actually do differently outside of therapy.
I'm licensed in Georgia, California, Virginia, Ohio, and Maine, with years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families work through difficult patterns and create meaningful change.

If your faith is important to you, it can be part of our work. Christian faith and biblical principles can be thoughtfully integrated into therapy when you desire it.

When communication breaks down, even small issues can turn into the same arguments over and over. Couples therapy can help you communicate more clearly, understand each other, and work through conflict differently.

Sometimes change brings questions you weren't prepared for. Therapy can give you space to work through what's changing, trust yourself, and decide how you want to move forward.
Confidence grows when you start practicing something different.
